// Code meets Africa

// What happens when you use parametric code to create African inspired woodwork?

// Code - Cut - Burn - Prime

/// Code On Wood

This is a project we did for the Spiral Bar — a prime spot, part of a high-end restaurant right on the beach. What’s special about this one is how it grew out of us experimenting with our parametric program. At first we were just playing, flying through forms, letting the code flow wild. But then we had to bring that freeform chaos into something precise.

// Finding Africa

That’s where the magic happened — finding this “African parametric flavor,” a rhythm of lines that we coded into being. Literally writing the rules for how the geometry flows. When we show people the program, they’re like, “What the fuck… this is way out, I’ve never seen anything like it.”

// Tall'n'Matt

Big love to Tall’n’Matt — an amazing crew of women led by Natali. They brought the whole thing to life with the cutting, painting, burning, and finishing touches. Natali herself is an artist, and you can feel that artistry in every detail they added.
